Clients joining Hello Asia Tour for China, Yangtze Cruise in May 2010

Dear M.K. and Margaret,

We just wanted to let you know how the Yanktze Best Buy tour went. As you know it a busy 15 days with 4 in country flights, and the cruise. We couldn't believe how everything went according to schedule. Our guides and drivers were always there when required, and were always friendly, informative and helpful. The hotels and the cruise ship were clean and up to standard. The ship however had hard beds which took some getting used to. The meals were delicious and the shows were excellent. We found the Chinese people to be both friendly and helpful, when we were by ourselves, especially in the subway. Expo was extremely packed so getting in some of the pavillions was almost impossible ( nothing you could have done).

We heard of this trip from friends and we will certainly recommend the trip to others. I am sure we speak for all 8 of us when we say " Keep up the good work".

Can't say enough good about the trip. A great experience!!

China was terrific!!!!

Best Regards,

Bryan and Barb Boughton

Clients TVP6 joining Hello Asia Tour for Tokyo, Peking and Hong Kong in Nov. 2009

Hi Marian,

I was going to give you a call next week to chat, but I guess I'll just reply to this email then.

The vacation was great, it was a lot of fun and I really didn't want to come back! We really enjoyed the Beijing tour. Amanda (our tour guide) was great, her english is very good and she was very nice and helpful. Our driver was funny, we even gave him an english name, he didn't have one before. The 5-star hotel was so awesome, I have never stayed at a 5-star hotel before so I was very impressed, as was everybody else. Over all this is the best vacation I've had. Thank you very very much for setting it up, for all your help and advise, and for giving us such great discount! All my other friends are amazed how cheaply we got the air fare for.

Thank you once again, it was very fun and when we have the pictures up, I'll send you a link to it!

Take care,
Billy So

Dear Marian,

We would like to express our gratitude for arranging our Diamond Princess to the Far East. We had a wonderful tour with Jimmy He who was quite responsible and resourceful in Beijing. The Thailand tour was just fine with Jeffery.

We all had quite an experience. Thank you very much.

Cheer!

Dear Mr. Yiu,

Having recently returned from the above-mentioned tour in China, we would like to express our gratitude for having offered us such a comprehensive and instructive tour.

The local organizers in the various Chinese cities visited are to be commended on their service… form the prompt pick-up at the airports, to the delivery and check-in at the hotels, to the excellent tours offered, and, not least, to the courteous and knowledgeable guides and drivers who brought it all together.

The quality of the Beijing International Hotel, the Marriott Hotel Chongqing, and the Radisson Hotel Shanghai New World, exceeded all our expectations, and certainly deserved their 5-star rating.

The only “fly in the ointment” were the Sheraton Hotels in Xi’an & Guilin, which were, in our opinion, more in the 3-Star category. Although we have never been adverse to using a 3-Star Hotel (nor would we have been deterred from taking the tour if it was so rated), we believe you, the Chinese organizers, and Sheraton H.O. should be made aware of the condition of these establishments (notwithstanding their vaunted 5-Star rating). It is instructive to note that the completed clients opinion form in Xi’an never elicited a response (notwithstanding managers assertion that all comments would be answered). Let us outline specific general and not necessarily exhaustive comments: “Although the dining rooms in both hotels offered excellent meals and reception areas were adequate, the Xi’an room had worn and stained carpets, sooty exhausts, unhinged closet doors, loose safety deposit doors, and poor bathroom finishing (broken tiles around shower fixtures, uneven flooring, bad grouting, etc). As to the Guilin hotel, the elevator door opening on our floor had worn & stained carpets, cheap looking arborite doors, corridors leading through exit staircases, worn & stained floors in room, etc.”

The above negative observation (which was beyond your control) did not prevent us from recommending our tours to others.

The enjoyment of our trip has also caused us to seriously consider a return to China in Fall 2007 (this time to interesting older towns and interior areas).

Thanks again,
Maxine & Andre Mani
